Friendly Conductor & Trains Race On Bridge Over Mill Creek! CSX Versus Norfolk Southern, Cincinnati

CSX Approaching With Norfolk Southern Trying To Pass! Trains Crossing Mill Creek Bridge With Baltimore And Ohio Railroad Signals In Use. Trains With DPUs And Power From Canadian Pacific, BNSF And Union Pacific. Plenty Of Rival Power In Cincinnati. Check out the first scene. CSX locomotives coming over the big concrete bridge and Norfolk Southern locomotives pulling a train at the same time. It looks like the Norfolk Southern train is going to catch up to the CSX power move. It's not really a race but it looks like one and it's a pretty cool catch. Then we get an awesome Norfolk Southern manifest with a DPU on the rear. This train is just coasting along into Gest Street Yard. By the way, this area is Canal Ridge Road in Spring Grove Village, Cincinnati, Ohio. This area was renamed from Winton Place to Spring Grove Village in 2007. Residents voted to change the name. You can still hear trains call out Winton Place on the radio and you can hear them call out Spring Grove. The next train is really awesome! This is my favorite one. It is a huge intermodal train led by a BNSF locomotive and 2 Canadian Pacific locomotives. Lately I have been getting lucky catching CP locomotives and yes, I am familiar with CPKC. Then we see a CSX mixed freight entering Queensgate Yard followed by a Norfolk Souther mixed freight that is entering Gest Street Yard. The conductor gave me an awesome wave! That is always a huge plus. After that another Norfolk Southern mixed freight passes in the same direction and we can see a high rail truck way down the track doing some work. I'm not sure what they were doing. They were down the tracks at the cross overs. The dispatcher asked them how long they would be working because they had a train en route. The high rail operator said he was working as fast as he could. A train led by Union Pacific and CSX power pulled up and stopped in front of the old B&O signals. It was about quarter after 5pm and light was fading. I really wanted to film this train bad. It's dangerous in this area after dark. I drove a short distance to the Kroger in Spring Grove and waited for about half an hour. This is the only Kroger store that I have ever seen that has an armed guard. There is a little light here but this area is a very dangerous location. People were walking around with their pants half way down their legs and I felt a little out of place. After three guys walked by my truck looking at me I decided to head on home. For some reason the people here don't wave back. The maintainer was still on the track when I left and the train was waiting to head north. Don't miss the Live Action Pets & the slide show that comes from the video near the end.
