Why Your Hips Keep Locking Up (It's Not What You Think)

If your hips keep locking up, feel pinchy, or never seem to loosen no matter how much you stretch, the problem probably isn't in your hips at all. In this video I break down the real reason chronic hip tightness keeps coming back, and the one shift that changes everything: learning to load your midfoot and reconnect it to your hip. Most people are stuck either back on their heels or pitched forward onto their toes. Both positions lock up the pelvis, compress the lumbar spine, and force your body to hold tension just to keep you upright. When you restore pressure into the midfoot and connect it up into the glute, your pelvis is free to move again — and your hips stop fighting you. This is the same biomechanical principle I use with every client at Ancestral Athlete to resolve chronic hip pain, lower back tightness, and the cascading compensations that come with them. 👉 Start here: The 15-Minute Hip Unlock Protocol https://ancestralathlete.com/hip-unlo... The exact protocol I walk clients through to teach the leg shape, midfoot loading, and hip connection covered in this video. Most people feel a shift in the first session.
