What a week in the life of The Daily Trev. After attending the funeral of a good friend, Dave, I arrived home on a cold, wet and windy night to find a huge 6-metre tree branch had crashed across my driveway, bringing down a cable connected to my home. With the weather still wild, I called the SES for assistance. Before long, a crew of five volunteers arrived, setting up a powerful light tower and getting straight to work clearing the dangerous mess. A special thank you to Tyler, who assured me they would take care of everything. Soon after, Powercor attended to inspect the downed cable and thankfully confirmed there was nothing to worry about. The following day, Wyndham City Council's tree crew arrived to clear the remaining debris and assess the tree. Later, an arborist inspected the tree and determined it needed to be removed for safety reasons. During the removal process, my NBN line was accidentally brought down, but Chris from Wyndham Council was fantastic and quickly organised a solution. NBN later attended and repaired the service. In the end, no harm was done, and I couldn't be more grateful for the incredible efforts of our SES volunteers, Wyndham Council tree crews, council management, Powercor and NBN. This video is a reminder of the amazing people who work behind the scenes to keep our communities safe. Thank you to everyone involved.
