🐱🌡️ It all started with an open roof window on a hot summer night... The next morning, the owners suddenly heard desperate meowing coming from the roof. How did this cat end up there... and more importantly, can the firefighters get it down safely? In this video, you'll see how a quiet summer night turned into a unique rescue for Brandweer Lunteren. On warm summer nights, many people leave their roof windows open to cool the house down. That's exactly what this cat's owners did. Sometime during the night, the curious cat most likely went looking for a cooler place. It climbed out through the open roof window and eventually found itself stranded in the gutter. Getting out was easy. Getting back wasn't. When it tried to return, the roof tiles were simply too slippery to climb back to the window. All it could do was cry for help. Its owners first tried to rescue it themselves using a duvet to give it extra grip, but unfortunately that didn't work. With another scorching hot day ahead and no shade at all on the dark roof tiles, they decided not to take any chances and called the fire brigade. Brandweer Lunteren arrived and safely rescued the stranded cat. And just like most cats... the moment all four paws touched the ground again, it disappeared as fast as it could.
