The Golden Oldies Gala at the Great Central featuring the Planet and Rocket replicas
Can it really be a decade since The Golden Oldie Gala? We can't quite believe it either. Here's a small taste of an amazing event featuring some of the oldest designs of steam locomotive still in operation. You'll see Furness Number 20, a Beattie Well Tank, a contractors locomotive that is so old it helped to build the Great Central Railway and also the famous replica locomotives of Rocket and Planet, two machines which help set British Passenger Railways on their way almost 200 years ago. Take a ride down the double track and take part in a piece of railway history. Don't forget clicks make bricks! By watching our videos and subscribing to the GCR YouTube channel you're helping to raise funds for our huge Reunification project!
