We Got Invited to a Real Maine Lobster Boil! | RV Life with Friends

A real Maine lobster boil with friends? Yes, please. After our Moody Beach day in Wells, Maine, the adventure was not over yet. Last time we traveled through Maine, we met Maureen and Shawn — and this time, they invited us over to their campsite for an old-school Maine lobster boil. And honestly, who better to host a lobster boil than a couple of Mainers who already had the pot going, the lobster bibs ready, the dogs greeting us, and everything prepared like they had been training for this exact moment? This is one of our favorite parts of full-time RV life. You meet people on the road, stay connected, and then somehow end up standing around a giant pot of lobster in Maine like this was always the plan. In this video, we jump into a full Maine seafood feast with lobster, corn, potatoes, steamers, butter, and a whole lot of first-time reactions. Dean tries whole belly steamers, Monica gives them a shot, Jeff makes it look way too easy, and then we start learning how to crack into hard-shell Maine lobsters. Things get even more adventurous when Dean tries lobster tomalley, lobster roe, and yes… Jeff turns lobster legs into a straw. Because apparently that is where this family is now. This was not a fancy restaurant meal. It was better. It was friends, family, campground life, giant lobsters, melted butter, trying new things, laughing at the table, and one of those travel memories we will be talking about for a long time.
