March 25th was One of the Best Days for Planespotting of this Year Thus far, with Rarities such as this Antonov AN-12BK, Registered UR-CNT, a Ukraine Air Alliance operated Aircraft which came in to Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG/LYBE) from the Southern Serbian City of Nis:    • Antonov AN-12BK LOUD & SMOKY Landing at Be...   It had waited on the Ground there for 2 Days after Arriving from Ghardaia (GHA) and came in to Land at Belgrade Practically Empty. This Particular Antonov AN-12 is 56 Years old and is Powered by 4 Ivcheno AI-20M Turboprop Engines, which tend to Produce Quite a bit of Smoke which on this Day was Especially Visible on Takeoff, Which may be seen Here! The Aircraft spent around 2 Hours at Belgrade prior to Departing for Boufarik Airbase in Algeria, The Main Transport Hub for the Algerian Air Force. The Engine Spool up on the Runway was Certainly Quite Unique, Producing a Smoke Plume only rivaled by Soviet Fighter jets such as the MiG-29! Other than That The Day also Brought a Ilyushin IL-76TD, 1 of the Rarest Aircraft which paid a Welcome Visit to Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG/LYBE) - 4K-78131, a Azerbaijan Air Force (Ministry of Defense) Ilyushin IL-76TD which Paid a Visit from the Azerbaijani Capital City of Baku. The Aircraft came in Over the City and Performed an Unusually Long Landing, Touching Down almost Halfway Down the Runway. The Plane was originally operated by AZAL Azerbaijan Airlines Cargo and wore a Blue Livery prior to Changing Hands to the Armed Forces.
