Valjevo Airshow 2026 HIGHLIGHTS 🇷🇸 MiG-29, Mi-17V-5, H145M + MORE

Greetings to all! Just This Year on The 9th of May a Truly Amazing Airshow took place at Valjevo (Divci) Airfield (QWY/LYVA) in Western Serbia - that being the 5th Annual Airshow on the Occasion of the Memorial of Pilot - Colonel Milenko Pavlovic. It is quite an Important Yearly Event for the Town as it marks The Brave Sacrifice of Pilot - Colonel Milenko Pavlovic, who on 4th of May 1999 was shot down over His Hometown of Valjevo while Intercepting a Large Formation of NATO Aircraft who had just finished their Bombing Mission. Originally, a Younger Pilot was ordered to Fly this Mission in his Lone MiG-29 however Pavlovic Dragged him out of the Cockpit before Takeoff, saying that 'He was not going to die today' Tragically, He was shot down by one of the USAF F-16CJs from the NATO Formation with an AIM-120, killing him instantly. The Airshow brought many Wonders and even more Amazing Video Opportunities, 1 of which was The Serbia Air Force Mil Mi-17! In Particular it was 12494 a Mil Mi-17V-5 and it Flew 6 Ferry Flights for the Many Willing to Ride on a Military Helicopter, as well as a Handful of Acrobatic Maneuvers during these flights and after. Everything was to be seen, including the Interior, Engine Start, Departure, Landing and Everything in Between! The Best Part was getting to Fly on the Beast, such a Wonderful Experience! Many Other Amazing Machines came to Participate, such as an Armed Mikoyan Gurevich MiG-29SM+ which flew a Series of Low Passes, Some with Afterburner! An Airbus H145M performed a Paratrooper Drop and a Domestically-Built Utva 95 Lasta Performed an Entire Jaw Dropping Acrobatic Display over the Airfield. This Airshow was Unmatched in It's Unique Close Up Video Opportunities, as Often Times We were allowed to Stand right at the Edge of the Runway. Of Course Everyone Came to Partake, thus a Good Chunk of the Serbian General Aviation Scene was also Present and Actively Participating, Which is always a Pleasure to See!
