Chicago’s Hidden Gem’s; Iowa Interstate and Central Illinois

C. Vision's tour of railroads in and around the Chicagoland area continues. Our tour includes roads Iowa Interstate, Central Illinois Railroad. On the Iowa Interstate, see the latest Iowa Interstate GE Locomotives, including their "Rock Island" Heritage engine. And for the older power lovers, watch and listen to their unique sounding SD38-2’s and GP38-2’s. Then we chase trains on a snazzy urban switching carrier. The Central Illinois shows off their classic SW9 engines. One of which is painted in the CB&Q black and grey scheme. They operated on former Burlington trackage on the far southwest side of Chicago.
