This canyon wasn’t empty. It was once lived in. High above me, carved into the cliff walls, was an ancient dwelling — built where access alone is dangerous. No ropes. No trail. Just raw stone and exposure. I free solo climbed the cliff to reach it, stepping into a place untouched for generations. Who lived here? Why build so high above the canyon floor?
