Businessman and former wrestler Jackson Mora will remain in pretrial detention for 15 months while he is investigated for his alleged involvement in the criminal organization known as “The Architects of Fraud.” According to the Prosecutor's Office, the network allegedly embezzled S/9.9 million from the Municipality of Pueblo Nuevo in Chincha, money that ended up deposited into the accounts of his martial arts company, FFC MMA, as part of an alleged illicit operation. According to investigations by the Criminal Investigation Division (Dirincri) and the Public Prosecutor's Office, Mora Rodríguez was aware of the origin of the money. During his statement to the prosecutor, he acknowledged that his company's account had a balance of S/818,000 and explained that this amount corresponded to a 10% commission that, he said, Jesús Mesones offered him in exchange for allowing the use of the company to make the transfers. In his statement, the businessman maintained that he accepted the offer due to the difficult financial situation he and his company were experiencing. He also stated that he trusted Mesones and believed the transaction was legal, so he planned to use the money to pay off various personal and financial debts he had at the time. ONGOING INVESTIGATION Mora also recounted that on April 23, 2026, he and his sister Noelia, general manager of FFC MMA, went to a bank in Miraflores to withdraw the funds. He indicated that ten cashier's checks were issued for amounts ranging between S/800,000 and S/900,000, which were subsequently given to Daniel Mesones. Meanwhile, the authorities are continuing their investigation to clarify the case and establish the responsibility of all those involved.
