This week, we're heading towards the peaks of the Taurus Mountains. Uncle Cafer will be accompanying me on the journey. His daughter is doing nomadic work at an altitude of 2650 meters. We're heading there too. From Tarsus, Çamlıyayla is 60 km. After Çamlıyayla, we'll follow a dirt mountain road for 65 km. We'll climb steeply up the Taurus Mountains and reach 2650 meters, where the mountain huts are located. Don't ask how anyone can build a house at 2650 meters. Because of the extreme winds up there, tents can be blown away. That's why they usually build mountain huts with stone walls and dirt on top. In this section of our Karakapı journey, which we'll split into several sections, we'll talk about our journey with stunning views, the making of cheese curds and tortillas, and we'll also watch cheese being made.
