We're in the Taurus Mountains again; We're the guests of Meryem Hanım and Osman Bey, who work as nomads at an altitude of 2,650 meters. From Tarsus, we're 60 km from Çamlıyayla. After Çamlıyayla, we follow a dirt mountain road for 65 km. We climbed steeply up the Taurus Mountains, reaching 2,650 meters, where the mountain huts are located. Don't ask how anyone can build a house at 2,650 meters. Because of the extreme winds there, the wind can blow away tents. That's why they usually build mountain huts with stone walls and dirt tops. In this part of our Karakapı journey, which we'll publish in the second installment, we'll tell you about our journey with stunning views and watch the goats being milked.
