We are the peace generation. Senator Claudia López speaks about the challenges Colombian youth face in building a country with equal opportunities for all. Through the development of citizenship, the state, and the market, this generation can build the country we all want: a single Colombia. A graduate of the Faculty of Finance, Government, and International Relations at Externado University of Colombia, she has been a Senator of the Republic of Colombia since 2014, winning the position with over 81,000 votes. She recently published her book, "Goodbye to the FARC! Now What?!", in which she reflects on the failures of peace processes over the last 30 years, analyzes Colombia's future after the signing of peace agreements, and proposes a plan of reforms, actions, and investments she considers necessary for a peace process that benefits all Colombians and their regions. Her work and research have demonstrated that the development of institutions must follow a specific order to achieve functionality, from state and civil institutions to financial markets.
