Cada error una canción | Andrea Echeverri | TEDxMedellin

In an era dominated by excessively beautiful performers, songs produced by massive studios, and generic lyrics, is there still room for craftsmanship in the music industry? Is it possible to build a successful musical career without conforming to beauty stereotypes? Is it still possible to appreciate the beauty of imperfection in songs as if they were small, handcrafted pieces? Andrea is known for expressing her feelings through her music, but what some may not know is that the singer-songwriter of Aterciopelados also has a deep passion for ceramics, which she uses to advocate for a society freer from commercial standards. She likes to be authentic in her work, whether it's with her unique ceramics or the messages she conveys in her songs, which she calls "an act of freedom." With Aterciopelados, she won the Celebrity of the Year award on E! Entertainment Television in 2002, and in 2004 she won Best Female Artist at the Shock Awards. She has been nominated several times for Latin Grammy Awards as a solo artist and with her band, winning twice. She has also won MTV, Shock, and Lo Nuestro awards, among others. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
