Duke Nukem 3D - Oblivion TC - Oblivion War Begins [All Secrets]

Soooo. i'm a little at trouble with this one. As you may know, Zaxtor passed away not too long ago, and i don't want to seem insensitive by needlessly knocking his magnum opus project. With that said, this was some of the most frustrating experiences i've had with a build engine mod. It's needlessly complicated, cruel and hostile. Player enjoyment was obviously the last of Zaxtor's priorities. And there is a lot wrong with this one. Undestroyable mines, the Sea Temple being bugged, so noclip is needed to progress, speaking of the sea temple, that boss fight is horrendous and close to impossible. Those spheres....why do they even exist? Zaxtor is overly reliant on teleporters to a ridiculous degree, so much so that i wonder if he ever designed a map with a normal layout (yes he did, ....some.) There is a reason why people hate E3M9 of Doom, Limbo. as for the "missing" secrets: Area 51b is just a """"""" small """""" detour and not officially part of this episode. We will revisit it later, don't worry about the secrets. They require the jetpack anyway. Now, The Doombase, on the other hand. Those two secrets are in a long tunnel system that you can only access by exiting the alternate route on the military station. Problem is, no one knows where it is. I Spent hours looking at the level editor, to no avail. And obviously Zaxtor cannot tell us anymore. So those two secrets might as well be lost to time. Interestingly, many people criticise the jungle levels despite them being the smallest of this mod's problems. They are gorgeous, the music is amazing, and the lack of mobility, while frustrating, provides a different challenge. The tree teleporters are also way better than the others used in the military station and scrapbrain. Mystic valley is easily the best map in this episode, and by a lot. Great gameplay, looks amazing and has a good layout. I also want to praise the amazing level continuity in this mod. it's fantastic.
