Duke Nukem 3D - Oblivion TC - The Space War [All Secrets]

I would say that the level design has been massively improved. (Gone are the teleporters. Thank god for that.) The first 2 levels in particular are a great exercise in working memory. The Organic ship is.....physically hurting to play, but the layout is all right, and the level is thankfully short. On "Alien Asteroid" the episode goes downhill. The first part is okay, but the second map is mess. It also starts a trend with boss fight. In the first episode, they were mostly all-right, and balanced (mostly, besides the yellow sphere fight). Well in this episode....they're all impossible. Completely, don't even bother. You MIGHT stand a chance if you 1. savescum, 2. play with crosshair, 3. turn your autoaim off completely. I don't want to do either, because that's not how Duke should be played. You can't design a boss like that in an fps like this where you need VERY precise aiming, in addition to always moving. So god mode it is. Doomsday battle confirms the fact that no one will ever finish this game without cheats. What even is that boss fight. Alien Biodiversity is all right, but again, an impossible boss. (The weird machine with the eye, no the tree, which was alright). The empire spaceship was...weird. Why do you recycle a map 3 times? And all that for a boss that is completely doable without cheats....Disappointing. The last map is a needless addition, but it's not bad. Except the boss fight. again, impossible. Zaxtor was a very creative mind, to be sure (which is why he was one pf the most productive members of the Duke community), but it's obvious he lacked any restraint, which resulted in zero quality control. Just throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks. As with the first episode, his ambition way overshines player enjoyment (not to mention the mod being outright broken) so i cannot in good heart recommend this to anyone.
