🚗🌄 ROAD TRIP FROM JUCHIPILA TO TLALTENANGO | Route through southern Zacatecas In this video, we take a road trip from Juchipila to Tlaltenango de Sánchez Román, passing through one of the most beautiful areas in southern Zacatecas. Juchipila, whose name comes from the Nahuatl word Xochipillan (“place of noble or beautiful flowers”), is one of the state's 58 municipalities. It is nestled in the Juchipila Canyon, between the Sierra de Morones and the Sierra de Nochistlán mountain ranges, at an altitude of 1,245 meters above sea level, and has a population of approximately 5,836. Our destination is Tlaltenango de Sánchez Román, founded in 1530 and located in a valley on the banks of the Tlaltenango River. With approximately 27,300 inhabitants, it is one of the most important cities in southwestern Zacatecas. Its economy is based on agriculture (corn and peanuts), livestock, and commerce, and it boasts a subtropical climate that gives it a very distinctive landscape.
