🌵 Regresó al Rancho Después de 38 Años | Moyahua, Zacatecas

Welcome to a new adventure of Exploring Zacatecas! This time, we travel to the southern part of the state, to the community of Las Palmas in Moyahua, to experience an authentic day on a ranch. We join Don Raúl González Rodríguez and Don Guadalupe Esparza on a tour filled with nostalgia and Zacatecan flavor. We descend to the Barranca del Río (River Canyon) and the famous drinking water well known as "El Potrero," a place surrounded by pitaya and organ pipe cacti where nature speaks for itself. We also meet Don David Guzmán, who tells us about his life during the 38 years he lived in Guadalajara and why he decided to return to his homeland. We visit the ruins of the Guzmán family's first home, a historic building where the "aspilleras" (arrow slits) in the windows, used for defense during the Revolution and the Cristero War, are still preserved. We sampled the region's pitayas and mangoes and visited the old smokehouse where thousands of tortillas have been made for generations. We crossed the exciting suspension bridge over the Moyahua River, a structure over 40 years old that remains vital to the local people.
