Imposter Syndrome is Holding Me Back in France - Living Abroad

Coming home after a few weeks in Germany always leaves me with mixed feelings. For a short time, I step back into a life that once felt familiar — working as a choreographer, spending time with family, speaking German every day. Then I return to rural France and have to find my footing again in the life I’ve built here. In this postcard from the French countryside, I’m reflecting on imposter syndrome, identity, and what it feels like to live between different worlds. Sometimes distance helps us see both the beauty and the challenges of the places we call home. Along the way, I also share a little local history and a view of the beautiful Château de la Redortière, just across from our village. Thanks for spending a few quiet minutes with me. #ruralfrance #lifeinfrance #expatlife #frenchcountryside #creativejourney ❤️ If you enjoyed this postcard, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments. — Stay connected: 🌍 Website: ledemichateau.com 📸 Instagram: @le_demi_chateau 🧡 Support:   / ledemichateau   Favorite books, cooking tools and everyday items from the château: https://www.amazon.com/shop/lifewitha...
