Rockhounding Mingus Mountain for Jasper with Hematite
Rockhounding Mingus Mountain, located just outside of the town Jerome, Arizona, for beautiful red jasper with bands of black hematite. This stuff is really cool, and plentiful at this location. I polished up a couple of pieces to see how they would look, and they came out incredible. I collected a few larger pieces to hopefully cut some cabs in the future. This was a great spot to visit and is not too far from Sedona and several other tourist areas.
