Reviving an Abandoned 1984 Volvo 240 (Part 2)

This 1984 Volvo 240 with the B21A engine has lived a quiet life. It has had only two owners, has been exceptionally well cared for, and is almost completely rust-free. Over the past 10 years, it has only been driven a few hundred miles and has been sitting untouched for the last four years. In the previous episode, I managed to get it started and running again. In this video, I replace the timing belt, alternator V-belt, change the engine oil, and track down several vacuum leaks. After a full service and replacing old cracked vacuum hoses, the Volvo is finally running and idling the way it should. If you enjoy classic Volvo restorations, DIY repairs, and bringing old cars back to life, you're in the right place.
