Willow Burl Is Very Unique!

This Willow Burl gave me a lot more trouble than I anticipated, but since it was my first time turning willow wood, I was not sure what to expect. My initial plan was to use that cutoff as a lid for the vessel, but I had to pivot when I realized just how punky and decayed the wood was. Instead, it ended up being a test piece for the inlay materials in the video. Let me know what you think! Was I crazy for putting dye in the stabilizing epoxy? The result is much more subtle than you'd think. This piece is available on my website if you're interested.
