Brasileiro é preso com meia tonelada de cocaína em veleiro na Espanha

Marcelo Nabuco Zollinger, a 36-year-old Brazilian businessman and member of a traditional family from Bahia, was arrested by Spanish police after being found with half a ton of cocaine aboard his sailboat. The operation took place near the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean. Two other people were also detained during the operation. The vessel reportedly departed from the Port of Salvador (Bahia) bound for Europe. Authorities suspect that the use of smaller vessels was intended to facilitate direct delivery of the drugs to the final recipient, a common practice among traffickers to avoid inspection. Marcelo built a career in hospital management and ran a motorcycle dealership in Salvador. Previously, he was involved in financial fraud.
