Advogado é encontrado morto em esquina de Pinheiros, zona oeste de São Paulo

Rio de Janeiro lawyer Pedro Ely Cordeiro dos Santos was found dead in Pinheiros, in the west zone of São Paulo. He had been missing since last Friday (10) and was identified after examinations at the Forensic Medical Institute, as he was without documents and a cell phone. Last Thursday (9), he had gone to a bar in Vila Madalena to watch a World Cup game with a friend. After leaving the bar, he called a ride-hailing service to Moema, in the south of the city. Since then, he had not been seen again. During the investigations, the police discovered that, hours after leaving the bar, the lawyer had returned to the Pinheiros region. In addition, suspicious purchases were made with his cards around 2 am. A witness saw Pedro being left on the sidewalk by a driver after feeling unwell. Despite the rescue attempt by SAMU (emergency medical services), he was already dead when he arrived at the hospital. As he had no documents, the lawyer was admitted to the health unit as an unidentified victim. Police are investigating whether violence was involved or if he was a victim of the "Goodnight Cinderella" scam.
