The castle church in Pontorme (Italy) was built in the 10th century in Romanesque style with a single nave, and the bell tower was initially located on the façade. The bell tower of the village parish church was rebuilt in the first half of the 19th century, retaining only an ancient bell, cast by the inhabitants in 1278 for the castle watch tower. In 1786, the town bell was donated to the Church of the Holy Archangel Michael.
