Esgueira celebrated another edition of its Folklore Festival tonight, which this year took place at Parque Aventura, bringing together dozens of participants and visitors in an atmosphere marked by music, tradition, and community conviviality. Organized by the Esgueira Folklore Group, the event reinforced the connection between popular culture and outdoor spaces, valuing local identity. The festival began at 9 pm, with the arrival of the participating groups, bringing to Parque Aventura the diversity of traditional costumes and the authenticity of regional dances. The natural surroundings of the space contributed to creating a welcoming setting, allowing for greater proximity between the public and artists and enhancing the cultural experience. During the afternoon, before the start of the performances, the entertainment was provided by ACRAP – Associação Cultural e Recreativa Amigos das Póvoas, which promoted traditional games for children, young people, and families. This initiative brought movement, interaction, and community spirit to the site, reviving playful practices that are part of the region's collective memory. The folkloric groups performed throughout the night, showcasing ancient songs, traditional dances, and ethnographic reenactments that highlighted the cultural richness of different regions of the country. The strong public turnout demonstrated the growing interest in events that preserve and value intangible heritage, reinforcing the role of folklore in the cultural life of Esgueira.
