German separable verbs consists of 2 parts. Prefix and infinitive form of verb. To make sentence using German separable verbs, one is required to follow a specific sentence structure. The prefix of German separable verbs will be separated from the infinitive form of the verb. The sentence structure of German separable verbs is as follows. The subject of sentence is to be put at the first position (This is not mandatory) The infinitive form of the German separable verb will come at the second position of German sentences that uses the separable verbs. The infinitive form of the German verb is conjugated according to the subject of the sentence. The prepositions, adjectives, direct object etc will come between the conjugated form of German verb at second position and the prefix of German separable verb. The prefix of German separable verbs will always go to the last position of the sentence.
