Negation in German language is done by using negative article kein or nicht. There are 2 ways to do the negation in German language and there are certain German grammar rules to select the use of kein or nicht in German language. Use of negative article kein is explained in this lesson. The German grammar rule to select the negative article kein in German language is to use kein whenever we would like to negate a German noun. Since the word kein is a negative article so negative article kein in German language like the positive article "der", "die", "das", have different endings and the Ending of negative article kein in German language is based on 2 factors. First thing is the gender of noun in German language Second thing is the case in which the negative article kein has to be used for the negation of a German noun. So the negative article kein in German language can be used as kein, keine, keinen, keinem, keines. Which form of the negative article kein has to be used depends on whether the negative article kein is being used for the negation of masculine, feminine, neuter or plural noun in accusative, nominative or dative case in German language.
