Most People Have NO IDEA What's Coming Next Week

An extreme weather pattern is setting up across the United States, and in today’s forecast I’m breaking down what it means for severe weather, dangerous heat, worsening drought, mountain snow, fire danger, and the tropics. The pattern shift includes a major ridge building over the central and eastern U.S., which could bring widespread 90s and 100s for days, while a trough out west brings cooler weather, wind, rain, and even late-June snow in the higher elevations. I’ll show you where the hottest temperatures are likely, how long the heat could last, and why ongoing drought may make this setup even worse. We’ll also track the severe weather risk across parts of the Plains, Midwest, Ohio Valley, Mid-Atlantic, and New England, including the potential for damaging winds, hail, heavy rain, and a few tornadoes. As the ridge strengthens, we may enter a “ring of fire” pattern where thunderstorm clusters ride around the edge of the heat dome. That could keep daily storm chances alive for several areas while others continue to bake under extreme heat and dry conditions. Plus, I’ll take a look at winter storm warnings in the northern Rockies, strong wind and fire weather concerns out west, rainfall chances over the next couple of weeks, and the latest tropical update for the Gulf, Caribbean, and Atlantic. Thanks for watching Cold Rain Weather. Stay sharp, chase hard, and I’ll see you back here tomorrow.
