2" Mortar vs King Tiger tank | August 1944
In August 1944, the 5th Battalion, Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry, launched an operation to capture the French village of Le Plessis-Grimoult in Normandy. Under the cover of darkness, the Battalion's A Company infiltrated into the village, where it bumped into a concentration of German vehicles, including two King Tiger tanks. Knowing this threat had to be dealt with, but lacking any suitable anti-tank equipment, the Company improvised and instead used their 2-inch mortar to ambush the unsuspecting enemy force. ------------------------------ Music licensed from Artlist.io Reflection by Oliver Michael ------------------------------ NO PART OF THIS VIDEO MAY BE REPRODUCED IN ANY FORM (REACTIONS OR RE-UPLOADED) WITHOUT THE PRIOR PERMISSION OF THE CREATOR ------------------------------ Want to support the Channel?
