Operation Dragoon: The British Airborne Assault into Southern France | August 1944
In August 1944, the Western Allies assembled an invasion force to land on the Southern coast of France under the codename of Operation Dragoon. As part of this operation, the Paratroopers of the British 2nd Parachute Brigade dropped behind enemy lines several hours before the main seaborne landings. Their task was to set-up a defensive screen in the area of Le Mitan and disrupt the movement of German forces towards the coast. ------------------------------ NO PART OF THIS VIDEO MAY BE REPRODUCED IN ANY FORM (REACTIONS OR RE-UPLOADED) WITHOUT THE PRIOR PERMISSION OF THE CREATOR ------------------------------ Want to support the Channel?
