LIVE TRAINING: Pluripotent Stem Cell Picking
Presented At: Gibco - 24 Hours of Stem Cells Virtual Event Presented By: Carl Dargitz - Scientist II, Thermo Fisher Scientific Speaker Biography: Carl Dargitz received his Master's degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in Biomedical Engineering with a specialization in stem cell research in 2013. During that time he worked as an intern at The Salk Institute in Dr. Inder Verma's lab under the tutelage of Dr. Amy Firth. His Master's thesis project involved differentiating iPSCs into lung airway epithelium to study Cystic Fibrosis. From 2013-2016 he worked at the stem cell core facility at The Salk Institute managing the core's reprogramming services. In August 2016 he joined the stem cell R&D team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Scientist II developing reprogramming, PSC characterization, and immunoncology characterization products. Webinar: LIVE TRAINING: Pluripotent Stem Cell Picking Webinar Abstract: Picking stem cells, whether it be for clone selection or general line maintenance, is an important and useful technique with which stem cell researchers should be comfortable.
