Anchoring In The Middle Of The Ocean - The Bahamas To Florida

With our cruising permit expiration looming it was time to start heading north. In this stretch of the journey we cover a lot of water. We sail from the Exumas, to Nassau, to the Berry Islands, to Bimini and finally return to Florida before flying home to Canada. In the middle of the Great Bahama Bank lays a shallow sandbar known as the Mackie shoal. They say that all sailors have to spend one night there, and that is what we did.. and I can confirm that once was enough!
