Prepare a thin string wrapped in black glass with a thick layer of clear glass. 2. Create a base bead using clear glass on a core rod coated with a release agent and shape it. 3. Draw eight lines around the bead from the center to the center using the thin string wrapped in black glass. 4. Heat the edge of the bead with the edge of the flame, pointing it out of the flame, and slowly rotate it in one direction. 5. Twist and flow the lines until you reach the desired point. 6. Remove the ball from the heat and adjust the lines until you find the right fit. 7. While heating over the heat, shape it with a curling iron. 8. Once it has cooled enough that it no longer sticks to the annealing agent, place it in the annealing agent.
