We Found the Perfect Alpine Lake Camp

After an unforgettable first day in the Eastern Sierra, Ben and I continued our road trip north into Tahoe National Forest in search of another peaceful place to spend the night. After exploring miles of forest roads, we found an incredible alpine lake to camp beside. The evening was everything we could've hoped for—steaks, a few cocktails, quiet conversations, and one of the clearest night skies we've seen in a long time. These are the moments that remind us why we spend so much time chasing dirt roads and sleeping outside. The next morning we took our time making breakfast and coffee by the lake before packing up camp and continuing our adventure through Northern California.
