Best Ever Durian Serimuka | Durian Sticky Rice Cake

#serimukadurian #nyonyakuih #easycooking Kuih serimuka ( pretty face) is a two layered dessert with steamed glutinous rice forming the bottom half and a yellow durian flavour layer on top. Coconut milk is the key ingredient in making this kuih. It is used to impart creamy taste when cooking the glutinous rice and the durian layer. Ingredients Bottom layer 300g glutinous rice soaked for at least 4 hrs 250-ml thick coconut milk 1/2 tsp himalayan pink salt 2 pandan leaves Add salt into coconut milk, then pour into the the rice. Add pandan leaves. Steam for 20-25 mins. Discard pandan leaves. Transfer to a square cake pan. Compact and flatten surface. Top layer 150g all purpose flour 60g tapioca flour 25g custard powder 100-150g castor sugar 2.5 cups coconut milk 1/4 tsp himalayan pink salt 150g durian flesh mashed Mix all the ingredients together to form a smooth batter. Strain the batter. Pour on top of glutinous rice layer. Steam at medium low heat for 1 hour. Cool completely before cutting. Thanks for watching and support.
