Gundog training: Drop (emergency stop)

Adem Fehmi is a Dog Trainer and Behaviourist working in Hertfordshire. In this video, he demonstrates how to teach your dog a drop or 'emergency stop'. He explains the relevance of this in a gundog context but also it's relevance to everyday life. Sometimes we don't want our dog to come back to us immediately, sometimes it is more important that they just stop what they're doing wherever they are. One of the key aspects of giving an instruction at a distance is the use of hand signals and whistles and Adem shows how we can incorporate these into the training process.
