It is the process of transporting from one circumstance to the other, the bearer of the letter to one geographic setting and timing that simultaneously preaches progress and instability. It exists in clear thought and knowledge-based reasoning. Crossing, despite being the action of transportation from one position to the other, it includes plenty of other more profound angles, that it has taken hold of in an inclusive and global form. From one side it has become a cause behind human evolution, the opening of our minds closed doors and the path forward to human progress. On the other hand, it has moved towards large tragedies, issues and has brought with itself an injustice, abundant pain and death, and the loss of collective values. From here on, we could say this action has become set in our lives and days, it has done so that we are continuously in the act of passing through, from birth to death. Hence why the topic has become a major source of discourse in the world of fine arts and has been highlighted on multiple occasions by global contemporary artists. As a consequence, it holds direct and honest interference with communities. Kurdish communities are no exception, due to their geographic, religious, social, political, and cultural setting, they have continuously fallen under a state of passing. This interference has demanded itself on artists who have experimented with this concept and attempted to body it within their work. An embodiment that each time is in a varying form and has a different source of ideas, concepts, materials, and overall techniques. Passing through has turned into a resource for artists to liberate their views in regards to their place, time, and believes. Since Kurdish artists work in the boundaries of a global system as well, they are well-aware of the changes that the world goes through. However, explorations with this concept do not have a concrete base of regulations, hence why on certain occasions artists examine the topic with honesty and at times with dishonesty. Under the power of undesirable rulers, the concept's association with a nation; such as products that are an outcome of reflex actions from a political, religious, demographic, cultural, folkloric, and individualistic perspective would instead be expressed imaginatively. As passing in such nations has resulted in large sums of injustice and unfairness, individuals are in terror and fear of their livelihoods. This exhibition is a collaboration among many artists who have conveyed their unique perspectives and reflexes towards the idea of passing through. Each artist embodied the concept and expressed their selves within it through their creative styles and visions which has produced an enriched collaborative fusion. The mediums of this exhibition include: paintings, installations, performance, digital art, photo, video art and videography Collectively the pieces revolve around the idea of passing through.
