In this 30-minute Yin yoga class, we work with the Earth element — moving through four deep, long-held poses that target the Spleen and Stomach meridians of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Each pose is explained through both the lens of TCM theory and modern fascia science, so you understand not just what you're doing — but why it works. What we cover in this class: — The Earth element in TCM: Late Summer, transformation and nourishment — The Spleen and Stomach meridians — where they run, what they govern — How Yin yoga targets connective tissue and fascia — The Zen Buddhist approach to sitting with sensation — Rebound poses and counter poses after each hold Poses in this class: 1. Butterfly (Baddha Konasana) — inner thigh / Spleen channel 2. Half Saddle — front thigh / Stomach channel 3. Dragon Lunge — deep hip flexor / Stomach meridian 4. Reclined Butterfly — integration / closing This class is suitable for all levels. No props required, though a folded blanket is welcome.
