He is a licensed clinical psychologist (with his own private practice since 2008). A practitioner of Sufism since 2007, he leads psychology workshops and Sufi retreats and meditations. He was formerly a professional illusionist. He created the YouTube channel “Psychology and Spirituality” with his wife, the writer Mardía Herrero. He is the father of five children. 👩‍🏫 Marta Herrero Gil, Mardía (Madrid, 1981), writer and professor, holds a PhD in Literature, a Master's degree in Religious Studies, and degrees in History (with Extraordinary End-of-Degree Award) and Philology. She has published 39 and a Half Weeks. Author of A Sufi Pregnancy (Mandala, 2016) and The Paradise of Drunken Writers (Amargord, 2007), she is a columnist for the Instituto Cervantes magazine *Rinconete*, where she has published over 60 articles, 13 of which focus on the life and work of Saint Teresa of Ávila. She also contributes to other academic and popular publications. She participates in talks and conferences on Sufism, Christian mysticism (especially regarding Saint Teresa of Ávila), theories of the imaginary, and sacred motherhood.
