From Sketchbook to Lino Print | An Unexpected Owl

This week’s video follows another completely unplanned creative detour… What began as a quick owl sketch in my sketchbook during an early Monday morning wake-up, very quickly took on a life of its own — flying off the page, onto paper and then unexpectedly onto a lino block. In this video I share the process of carving the block and pulling the very first test print, following the idea wherever it wanted to go. The whole piece was inspired by the imagery on an Ancient Greek plate, which sparked the original drawing and set the whole thing in motion. As always, this is a relaxed and reflective creative video — less about perfection and more about following curiosity, experimentation and the joy of making.
