Hawks arrest 36 in Mpumalanga Education fraud
The Nelspruit Magistrate's Court in Mbombela, Mpumalanga has granted bail to 5 of the 36 people arrested by the Hawks for defrauding the provincial Education Department of about R113 million dating back to 2018/2019. The bail ranges between R5 000 and R50 000. The accused are facing charges including theft, fraud, money laundering among others.
