Accessibility in Engineering with the Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining (IOM3)

In this webinar, delivered in partnership with the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3), EqualEngineers explores what accessibility in engineering really means and why it is essential to creating a more inclusive profession. Hosted by Fayon Dixon and introduced by Dr Mark McBride-Wright, the conversation features Animesh Anand, an engineering educator, materials scientist and leading advocate for inclusive engineering. Drawing on his lived experience as an autistic and ADHD engineer, Animesh shares powerful insights into the barriers faced by neurodivergent and disabled learners and professionals, and discusses practical ways to make engineering education and workplaces more accessible. Topics include inclusive leadership, curriculum design, engineering software, assessment methods, communication practices and the value of diverse perspectives in problem-solving.
