The Role of Engineers in Creating a Safe Environment with InstMC

EqualEngineers and the Institute of Measurement and Control (InstMC) brought together engineers together for a practical, industry focused webinar exploring “The Role of Engineers in Creating a Safe Environment” on 18th March. In this session, we looked at how safety is shaped not just by systems and processes, but by the everyday behaviours, leadership choices, and team cultures that engineers help create. Drawing on EqualEngineers’ and Dr Mark McBride-Wright’s “The SAFE Leader” approach, the webinar also included interactive elements, helping attendees reflect on what “safe” really means in modern engineering environments and what individuals and organisations can do to strengthen it. The session offered practical insights and takeaways that participants can apply in their teams and workplaces.
