In 2017, an incident occurred at Cahills Crossing in the Northern Territory that stayed with those involved long after the day ended. It is a tidal river system inhabited by saltwater crocodiles, where water levels and conditions can change rapidly. Despite warning signs and viewing platforms, people take risks and in some cases pay the ultimate price.
