Fernanda Kaingáng – Culturas indígenas (2017)

Lawyer and professor Fernanda Kaingáng presents a legal overview of indigenous land rights, an issue of importance to all indigenous peoples. The Kaingáng people are divided into a few territories in the country and constitute the third largest indigenous population. Fernanda also talks about the situation of cultural degradation, erosion of culture and loss of language. She comments on the precariousness of education and the violence to which young students are subjected, in a process of weakening the culture of her people.
