From Ruins to a Dream Home: Gay Couple's Farmhouse Renovation

Hi, we're Bram and Simon, two Dutch gay guys and soon-to-be fathers. A year ago, we fell in love with an enchanting old French farmhouse and, after a few challenging months, we finally made it ours. Now, we are excitedly renovating it into our future home just in time for the arrival of our baby girl in a little over two months. This once overgrown and dusty farmhouse in rural France is slowly becoming our very own charming chateau. This week, we made significant progress on the bathroom renovation. Although we're still waiting for the windows, we were thrilled to take our first shower! The new floors look incredible, and we can’t wait to spend our first night in our new bedroom. Meanwhile, our garden is full of vegetables, and the grass is growing like crazy. We're so grateful to have found this amazing place and to be able to handle so much of the renovation ourselves. In this week’s vlog episode, We continue with the bathroom and the floors but we too explore Monpazier a bit more. France's beauty never stops to amaze us. We love every step of this journey, and our dogs are loving it too! While self-renovating is more time-consuming than hiring professionals, the experiences we've gained are worth so much more. We're can’t wait for the arrival of our little girl, but we're also grateful for the time we have left to complete as much as possible. The next big project on our list is the barn renovation, So there won’t be any time for rest.
