Tractor Therapy: When Work Doesn’t Feel Like Work

Sometimes getting work done doesn’t feel much like work. I started the day with one fairly simple job: use the John Deere 1025R to move some dirt and build up the ground beside the house, where heavy New Mexico rain can occasionally cause problems near the basement. From there, the day expanded—as tractor days tend to do. I removed the grapple, installed the bucket with the Piranha tooth bar, moved dirt across the property, explored an uneven section of the yard, switched over to the box blade, forgot to press record more than once, and generally enjoyed being outside and getting things done. This video is also a bit of an experiment. I left in some longer takes and allowed the work to unfold at a more natural pace. Let me know whether you enjoy this more relaxed style of tractor video—or whether Long Take Johnny needs to spend a little more time in the editing room. After a difficult couple of years, I’m getting back into life, working on the property, making videos, and finding enjoyment in the process. Sometimes therapy looks like talking things through. Sometimes it looks like dirt, diesel and a John Deere. Thanks for watching. https://buymeacoffee.com/StrangeloveYT #JohnDeere1025R #TractorTherapy #CompactTractor
