A Logger Did This To A Cat 315 Thumb

A logger showed up with a snapped pin off his Cat 315 and a story about clearing some light brush. We've heard that one before. Once we got a good look at the coupler and thumb, the real picture came out. Cracked boss, ripped ears, and everything tweaked from picking up what we're guessing were a couple 50 foot white oak logs at a time. We straightened the thumb with a little blunt force from the John Deere 350G and a 160, found out the factory had welded the boss in crooked from day one, cut it out and rewelded it square, fit a brand new coupler, and added a standoff to keep that pin from spinning instead of drilling it and weakening it. Then we may have spent a little too long on the go-kart track. Thanks for watching. Drop a comment, hit the thumbs up, and let us know what the loggers are really doing to this stuff.
